How long does baby food keep?
Im going to be starting my son on baby food soon, ive got little containers to separate it cos obviously he wont be eating the whole jar straight away, how long can i keep it in the fridge? Or is it better to freeze what we dont use and then defrost it? Of course, im separating it into portions so as not to feed him straight from the jar and contaminate it with his salavia.
Do not freeze it, when defrosted it will be too watery. When you open the jars take out a few spoons full and keep the rest in the original jar in the frig. it will keep for a couple days before getting watery, so it's best to open only a couple jars at a time so you don't waste the food.
